A new Competence Development Center (CDC) for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) will be created in Russia as per the directive of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Its participants will analyze the software for drones available on the market and propose import-substituting solutions.
In fact, the center will become a meeting place for developers and customers of software for aircraft. The CDC includes representatives of the following companies: JSC "Geoscan", "Aeroscript", Kaspersky Lab, "Rostelecom", "Sber", NTI, "Skolkovo".
It is noted that the center, which will be headed by former Minister of Transport Evgeny Ditrikh, will engage in developing several areas. In particular, the development of simulators and software and hardware complexes for drones, improving the regulatory base, creating digital platforms for the certification of aircraft, solving the problems of safe use of UAS.
It is also known that the Russian government intends to launch 10 mega-projects of technological sovereignty. One of them became the mega-project for UAS. The issue is about the release of a deeply localized line of products developed by Russian companies. The total investment for each project is up to 10 billion rubles. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to prepare a regulatory and methodological basis for evaluating the results of mega-projects by the end of 2023.
It was previously reported that the expert group presented the GOST project for training operators of drones.
