Foreign defense concerns are trying to create their own anti-aircraft missile and gun systems (SAM/Gun systems), similar in concept to the Russian Pantsir. This was reported by the Rostec State Corporation.
Based on how the Pantsir performs, many countries are trying to do something similar. This is evident at all recent international arms exhibitions.
The Pantsir SAM/Gun system was developed at the Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician A. G. Shipunov (part of the High-Precision Complexes holding of Rostec). The system is designed for close-range defense of civilian and military facilities, as well as for covering long-range air defense systems.
At the international arms forum in Abu Dhabi, a new Pantsir-SMD-E installation with 48 short-range missiles for countering kamikaze drones was presented.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the latest nine-module EW complex "El-1" with a total jamming power of up to 1kW was developed in Russia.
