South Korean company Hyundai Motor Company (owner of the Hyundai and Kia brands) has denied reports of a possible return to the Russian market.
Company representatives stated that after the sale of their assets in St. Petersburg in early 2024, no steps were taken to resume operations in Russia. Furthermore, there are no discussions on this issue.
The company reminded that the deal included the possibility of a buyback within two years.
Hyundai Motor representatives expressed bewilderment at the emergence of rumors that are not related to reality and called for an end to the spread of such information.
Earlier, www1.ru, citing the Korean agency News1, reported that Hyundai Motor Group is considering the possibility of returning to the Russian market. The Korean media wrote that Hyundai and Kia are closely monitoring the situation.
