The multilateral naval exercise "Komodo-2025" with the participation of ships of the Russian Navy has opened in Indonesia, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
The corvettes "Rezkiy" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" of project 20380 of the Pacific Fleet took part in the ceremony.
The heads of the Navy and Air Force of Indonesia, as well as ministers and the Governor of Bali, attended the solemn event. The Russian delegation at the "Komodo-2025" exercise is headed by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Vorobyov.
The exercises, organized by the Indonesian Navy, are planned to involve warships and observers from more than 30 countries, and will last until February 22.
The armament of the 20380 series corvettes includes launchers of "Uran" or "Kalibr-NK" anti-ship missiles (depending on the modification of the ship), artillery installations, an anti-aircraft missile system, grenade launchers, and machine-gun installations. They have anti-submarine and anti-torpedo protection.
