Строительство аэропорта на горнолыжном курорте Шерегеш стартует в 2026 году

Plans include building a two-story airport terminal complex with a waiting area, cafes, restaurants, and shops

In recent years, the Sheregesh ski resort, located in the Kemerovo region, has become one of the most popular destinations for outdoor enthusiasts in Russia. Its rapid growth has necessitated improvements to the transport infrastructure, and plans are currently being actively discussed to build the resort's own airport in the vicinity.

The project involves the construction of a modern complex capable of handling domestic flights and providing a high level of comfort for travelers.

The main investor, Novaport Holding, plans to build a two-story airport terminal complex that will include waiting areas, cafes, restaurants, and shops. Chief architect Andrei Belyaev worked on the architectural design of the building. The project took into account the seismic activity of the region, the mountainous landscape, the thickness of the snow cover, and hydrogeological conditions. All this makes the project technically complex, requiring the search for original design solutions.

The construction of the airport is scheduled for 2026, and its opening is expected in 2028. Private investments in the project are estimated at 15 billion rubles. However, the issue of financing the construction of the runway remains open. To solve this problem, the authorities are considering the possibility of a public-private partnership.

The airport in Sheregesh will be the third in the Kemerovo region after Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk. The airport terminal building with a total area of about 14,000 square meters is designed to serve up to 200 passengers per hour and approximately 200,000 per year. In the future, its capacity can be increased to 1.7 million passengers per year.

The airport's runway will be 2,700 meters long, which corresponds to class "B" and will allow it to receive aircraft such as A320/B737, MC-21-310, SJ-100, and lighter aircraft.

The airport will become a key element of the region's tourism infrastructure. It will be located just seven kilometers from the village of Sheregesh, which will make it even more accessible to tourists. The new infrastructure facility will provide local residents with jobs and create new employment opportunities, as well as make the ski resort even more attractive to guests.

This project is also part of the program to create a special economic zone "Mountain Shoria", which includes the development of hotel, business, and ski complexes.

However, difficulties arise in the implementation of the project. In particular, the design deadlines were postponed to 2025 due to the need for complex surveys in mountainous and taiga areas.
