Autonomous launchers of mobile ground-based missile systems (PGRK) "Yars" went to combat patrol routes in the Novosibirsk missile formation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Strategic missilemen worked out tasks and introductory exercises, including performing maneuvering actions in field positions.
The crews of the mobile ground-based missile systems "Yars" perform tasks of marching up to 100 kilometers, dispersing units with changing field positions, their engineering equipment, and security.
RS-24 "Yars" is a Russian strategic missile system with a solid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile of mobile and silo-based deployment with a multiple independently targetable warhead.
The complex was developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology under the leadership of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Solomonov. RS-24 "Yars" is a modification of the missile of the "Topol-M" complex. The range of the system is up to 10,000 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the "Caliber" and "Uran" carriers, the corvettes "Rezkiy" and "Aldar Tsydenzhapov", conducted maneuvers off the coast of Indonesia.
