Russian corvettes of Project 20380 "Aldar Tsydenzhapov" and "Reskiy" will participate in exercises in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, a detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet (TOF) passed in close proximity to the territorial waters of Indonesia and worked out individual elements of the upcoming exercises.
A Ka-27PL deck helicopter was placed on board the "Aldar Tsydenzhapov", capable of performing combat missions in both tropical heat and abnormal frosts.
The equipment is more modern, more efficient and new. In principle, it performs exactly the same combat tasks as the Ka-27PL, and the modification simply simplifies the work.
The helicopter flew almost 100 km for reconnaissance purposes. By the time of its return, the sea swell had increased, but it did not become a problem for experienced pilots. According to regulations, Ka-27s can take off and land with the ship's rolling up to 10 degrees.
The "Aldar Tsydenzhapov" also has a new A-190 artillery system installed. It can engage up to five targets at once and fires 90 rounds at surface, coastal and air targets in just one minute.
A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet, consisting of the corvettes "Reskiy" and "Aldar Tsydenzhapov", as well as the sea tanker "Pechenga",set off on a long voyage to perform tasks in the Asia-Pacific region on February 3.
The armament of the 20380 series corvettes includes Uran or Kalibr-NK anti-ship missile launchers (depending on the modification of the ship), artillery installations, an anti-aircraft missile system, grenade launchers, and machine gun installations. They have anti-submarine and anti-torpedo protection.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia has come up with a way to combat fiber-optic controlled drones.
