Export T-90M "Proryv", Airborne Self-Propelled Gun "Lotos", Replacing the Battery of the Pantsir-SMD-E SAM System: What Russia Brought to the Arms Exhibition in the UAE

The area of the Russian exposition will reach almost 1000 m²

The International Defence Exhibition IDEX-2025 opens on Monday, February 17, in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). The event will involve more than 40 enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Russia, the area of the domestic exposition will be almost 1000 m².

Main Russian novelties

For the first time abroad, Russia will show the export tank T-90M "Proryv", protected from all anti-tank weapons, taking into account real combat experience.

At the exhibition, foreign experts will be able to see for the first time the promising airborne self-propelled artillery gun (SAO) "Lotos" developed by JSC "TsNIITochMash" of the Kalashnikov concern.

The company also brought to Abu Dhabi the newest short-range anti-aircraft missile system "Krona-E", designed to protect infrastructure facilities and warehouses mainly from drones.

The "High-Precision Complexes" holding (part of Rostec) will for the first time show abroad the anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) "Pantsir-SMD-E" - the newest complex designed to protect against massive air strikes, capable of replacing an entire battery of other SAM systems on its own. Unlike the "Pantsir-S1", the complex does not carry cannon armament, but is equipped with mini-missiles to destroy drones.

The Almaz-Antey Air Defence Concern will show the C-300V4 "Antey-4000" and S-350E "Vityaz" anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as the Viking anti-aircraft missile system. Shipborne assets will also be presented: the Komar turret mount and the Tor-M2KM anti-aircraft missile system.

"Helicopters of Russia" (part of Rostec) will show the latest modification of the Ka-32 helicopter, designed for extinguishing fires in urban areas - Ka-32A11M. The machine, which is already being supplied to Russian customers, can deliver up to 400 litres of fire-fighting foam and 4000 litres of water to the fire in one flight.

Also, the export version of the new UTS-800 training aircraft manufactured by UZGA is waiting for its foreign premiere. The two-seater machine is designed for initial flight training, professional selection and professional training of pilots.
