The Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) reliably protects the sky on the line of combat contact from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The press service of the Ministry of Defense spoke about the operation of the complex.
The department noted that anti-aircraft gunners regularly fight against Valkyrie, Leleka, Furia and Baba Yaga kamikaze drones, calling them "evil."
Anti-aircraft gunners daily cover units, places of concentration of personnel and equipment from reconnaissance and strike UAVs of the enemy, and also conduct visual search for aerial objects in given sectors.
Ammunition for the air defense system is 9M333 anti-aircraft guided missiles produced by the Kalashnikov concern. The advantage of the missile is the presence of a homing head. It operates in three modes: photo contrast, infrared and jamming. This is the third generation of guided weapons, which does not depend on the operator after launch and is always ready for use.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest Goliath-R, Karakurt-R and Quasimachta drones from Kalashnikov will land in Abu Dhabi.
