Mobile rapid response groups to counter drones have appeared in the Armed Forces of Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The tasks of the units include countering FPV drone attacks, reinforcing air observation posts, covering the movement of military equipment and checkpoints.
The groups are equipped with ATVs modified to account for the specifics of operations, smoothbore and rifled weapons, as well as evacuation and fire extinguishing equipment.
We have an ATV as equipment, it has been retrofitted with electronic warfare equipment, and it is very effective in combating FPV drones. The unit consists of two people. They are equipped with smoothbore weapons and light armor. And also, if possible, depending on the nature of the operations, they either take or do not take heavy weapons with them - a machine gun.
