AvtoVAZ did not sell e-Largus electric vehicles in 2024. Dmitry Kostromin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the company, explained the difficulties associated with this project.
According to the manager, the price of the e-Largus electric car turned out to be "difficult to implement" given the competition from Chinese brands.
The question is the price. The prices that we announced are, let's say, difficult to implement for this car, especially given the competition from Chinese manufacturers. It's good that the recycling fee for all electric vehicles has been raised since January of this year, now let's see how the market will play this out.
Lada e-Largus is the first Russian electric car with a domestically produced battery of deep localization. It was first introduced in 2022, and on September 25, 2024, it was launched into mass production. With subsidies, the car will cost 2,990,000 rubles.
