Part of the flight crew of the Algerian Air Force (AAF) has already begun retraining on the Su-57E fifth-generation multi-role fighters. This was reported by military expert Evgeny Damanцев with reference to a video report broadcast by a local TV channel.
The analyst recalled that the Algerian army already consists of 44 Su-30MKA generation "4++" multi-role fighter-bombers with onboard PFAR-radar N011 "Bars".
During the period of operation, the flight crew of the Algerian Air Force managed to adapt to the controls of the Su-30MKA, which are structurally close to those of the Su-57. Consequently, the retraining process will be much more efficient and smooth.
There has been no official confirmation of this information from the Russian authorities yet.
The Su-57 is the only aircraft of its kind, equipped with a supersonic low-observable adjustable air intake. This technical solution allows the fighter to demonstrate the world's best indicators of supersonic range, flight duration and maneuverability.
