«Яндекс Карты» облегчают передвижение: маршруты без лестниц для колясок и чемоданов

The service now takes into account 40,000 ramps in Russian cities

"Yandex Maps" has learned to take into account 40,000 ramps when building pedestrian routes in major cities of Russia. This is important for those who find it difficult to cope with stairs on their way: parents with small children, tourists with luggage, and people with diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

Now, when building a route, users have the option to "Avoid stairs". The service will take into account the user's wishes and select a route without stairs. If it is not possible to avoid stairs altogether, then "Yandex Maps" will offer a route with ramps.

Yandex emphasized that ramps are different - with and without handrails, of different heights and with different slopes. The company does not guarantee that the ramp shown on the map may be suitable for everyone.
