Lightweight and Reliable: "Reshetnev" Presents Unique Drive for Small Satellites

The 800-gram device has already been installed on the "Marathon" satellite

Specialists from the "Reshetnev" company have developed a lightweight and compact rotary device for solar panels of small satellites.

The mass of the new drive is approximately 800 grams, which is six times less than that of similar devices with comparable power.

One of the key achievements was exceeding the technical specifications for service life: the device successfully withstood 40 thousand revolutions instead of the specified 10 thousand.

The first model almost completely corresponds to the flight model, which has already been installed on the experimental "Marathon" satellite. In the future, the device is planned to be adapted for mass production of these spacecraft.
