The Russian mining and metallurgical company "Nornickel" and the Belarusian manufacturer BelAZ have signed an agreement on the production of underground dump trucks and loading and delivery vehicles.
All Russian mining companies need mining equipment and spare parts for it today
The average annual demand of Russian mining companies for mining equipment is about 300 units. At the same time, own production is limited to single copies. Foreign analogues are not always suitable for operation in the conditions of the Russian North, and the cost of repair is often comparable to the price of a new machine.
For BelAZ, this is an opportunity to master a new line of equipment. Until now, BelAZ has specialized in mining equipment for surface operations.
The agreement will satisfy the growing demand of Russian mining and metallurgical companies. The two enterprises also plan to establish a process for repairing and maintaining machines, producing and supplying spare parts.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that BELAZ-75304 with Russian engines with a capacity of 2400 hpwas released into mass production.
