The Russian carrier of hypersonic cruise missiles "Zircon", the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov" of project 22350, has covered 220 thousand nautical miles in six years since its transfer to the Russian Navy (Navy). This was reported in the press service of the Northern Fleet.
Since the raising of the St. Andrew's flag on the ship and to the present time, the Northern Fleet frigate has made voyages in the seas of the Atlantic, Arctic, Pacific and Indian Oceans and a round-the-world voyage. In total, "Admiral Gorshkov" has traveled more than 220 thousand nautical miles, this distance is equal to nine circumferences of the equator.
"Admiral Gorshkov" is a multi-purpose ship with guided missile weapons, designed to solve tasks in the far sea and ocean zones.
"Gorshkov" was accepted into the Navy in 2018, in 2021 the frigate was modified and equipped with hypersonic "Zircon" missiles. The ship is capable of delivering pinpoint and powerful strikes against the enemy at sea and on land.
