A rare 1986 Lada 1200 (VAZ-21013) is up for sale in the Netherlands. The car spent most of its mileage on the roads of Hungary, and moved to the Netherlands in 2013. Since then, the Lada has been in the hands of one owner.
The "Kopeyka" was well maintained. The car differs from its counterparts of the same year of manufacture with a shiny body and well-groomed interior. However, there are slight scratches and pinpoint rust on the surface. The 38-year-old "Kopeyka" is available for 4,950 euros.
The VAZ-2101, also known as "Kopeyka", was introduced in the USSR in 1970 and became the first model produced at the Volga Automobile Plant. The car quickly gained popularity due to its reliability, ease of maintenance and affordable price. The car became a symbol of the Soviet automotive industry and was actively used both for personal and commercial purposes.
Lada 1200 is an export version of the car. It had a different radiator grille, no "fangs" on the bumpers, and additional holes were made in the lower part of the car for better air flow. These cars were equipped with a 1.2-liter engine, had different body and roof colors, factory anti-corrosion treatment and a reinforced gearbox.
