In 2024, state-owned companies began to purchase more new and used passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) of Russian assembly compared to the year before last. The number of tenders placed for government procurement increased by 9%, and their value increased by 36%.
In 2024, 5507 tenders were held for a total amount of 27.8 billion rubles. State-owned companies can only purchase cars that are recommended by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The list includes 15 brands: Lada, "Moskvich", GAZ, UAZ, "Sollers", Evolute, Haval, Aurus, Citroen (assembled at the Kaluga plant "Automobile Technologies"), Xcite, as well as Kaiyi, BAIC, SWM and "Amberauto", produced at the "Avtotor" plant in Kaliningrad.
The largest number of cars for officials were purchased from the brands Lada, UAZ and Gazelle.
