The main advantage of the "Valdai 12" truck is its solid frame. It is "hewn without a single nail." This was reported by auto expert Ilya Khlebushkin.
The car's frame is able to withstand critical loads and prevent possible body deformations. There is not a single rivet, insert or extension in its design.
The truck is almost entirely assembled from domestic parts. The exception is the Chinese cab (Foton from seven years ago). However, its welding and painting are carried out in Russia.
The "Valdai 12" is equipped with a four-cylinder lower-valve diesel engine YaMZ‑534 with a volume of 4.4 liters (170 hp). The unit is complemented by a domestic engine brake. The six-speed manual gearbox is made on the basis of the five-speed "GAZon Next".
The weight of the truck is 11,990 kg, the carrying capacity is up to 8 tons. The car does not require registration in the "Platon" system, which charges a fee for traveling on roads.
Spare parts for the "Valdai 12" are easy to purchase.
