Industry sources claim that Russian search engines will soon stop displaying links to videos from the YouTube platform.
This is allegedly being done so that users in Russia only watch videos on domestic platforms. The Ministry of Digital Development and Roskomnadzor have not commented on this information.
Problems with access to YouTube began in Russia in July 2024. Users complained about the slow operation of the service. Currently, it does not work on either mobile or stationary devices due to slowdowns. Roskomnadzor explained that the platform's numerous violations are sufficient grounds for taking action against the video hosting service.
