The "VKontakte" platform has significantly increased the amount of pirated content re-uploaded to its "VK Video" video service after YouTube was slowed down in Russia. This was reported by blogger Vitaly Veselov. According to him, special groups are created on the domestic service for this.
These groups are not just engaged in re-uploads, but a real massive operation to transfer all the content that was once on YouTube to "VKontakte".
According to the blogger, new videos from YouTube appear on the "VK Video" platform "every second." Various groups are created under the videos. Veselov emphasizes that the videos are copied in violation of copyright, and its downloading from YouTube occurs using special bots. The blogger did not specify who is transferring the video and what goals they are pursuing.
