Advanced multi-functional fifth-generation Su-57 fighters have begun to play an increasingly important role in identifying the positions of air defense systems. Their participation in the destruction of military infrastructure has become a key factor in air raids, according to experts from the Telegram channel "Military Chronicle".
Experts noted that while the Kalibr and Kh-101 missiles, the Gerbera and Geran-2 drones meander along routes, the Su-57 fighters "weed out" the air defense system. Then "Daggers" and "Iskanders" "arrive" at the opened positions of anti-aircraft systems.
As soon as the task is completed, the "Calibers" suddenly remember where to fly and continue the flight mission. This feature was noticed last year, but then the role of aviation was not so obvious.
The Su-57 is designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets. The machine has a supersonic cruising speed, internal armament, radio-absorbing coating (stealth technology), as well as the latest complex of onboard equipment.
One of the most unique technical features of the Su-57 is the multi-element dual-band airborne radar complex N036 Belka. The detection range of targets with an effective reflecting surface (EOP) of 3 m² is 400 km, with an EOP of 0.1 m² - 160 km, and with an EOP of 0.03 m², which is equivalent to SCALP-EG cruise missiles - up to 100 km.
The throughput of the N036 reaches 62 simultaneously tracked targets in transit with the possibility of accurate auto-tracking of 16 air targets.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a way has been found to make the Su-34 fighter use Kinzhal missiles.
