The "Avito" classifieds service has announced a new version of its search, based on its own ranking technology — Avito Ranker 3. This was reported by the company's press service.
Thanks to the update, sellers will no longer be able to artificially raise their ads to the top positions of the service by updating the publication time. This will help clear the search results of unsuitable offers and improve the quality of search for users.
Artificial intelligence will take into account more important parameters for a potential buyer: the quality of the description and photo, the price, and a good level of seller service. As a result, the number of irrelevant and low-quality ads shown has been reduced by a factor of 2. Users are 17% more likely to go from search to ads, and are more likely to make purchases – this conversion has increased to 25%.
The system now analyzes more than 100 factors. The algorithm works in the search and personal recommendation feed for all categories of goods and services.
