The Avito Auto platform has launched a test function to confirm car ownership through the Gosuslugi portal. During the verification process, you can simultaneously check the authenticity of the profile and receive digital markers "Owner" or "Documents Verified."
According to the platform, demand for used cars is increasing. In particular, in Q3 2024, sales of cars costing up to 1.5 million rubles increased by 15.8% compared to the previous quarter and by 6.9% compared to the same period last year.
A similar trend is observed in other segments of the used car market. For example, sales of vehicles costing from 1.5 to 3 million rubles increased by approximately 26% compared to the same period last year, and sales of premium cars up to three years old increased by approximately 12%.
At the same time, over 90% of customers, all other things being equal, choose sellers who have verification marks in their profile. And 67% of buyers, according to an Avito study, trust verification through Gosuslugi the most.
As a reminder, Avito Auto analysts conducted a study and found out which cars no older than three years Russians buy most often. Among the most popular were AvtoVAZ models and Korean cars. The average car price was almost 2.9 million rubles.
Earlier, representatives of Russian dealerships warned that following the increase in prices for new cars, one should expect an increase in the cost of used cars as well.
