The Znamya Truda plant (part of Rosatom Group) has successfully tested an impulse safety device for a steam generator, an element of the protection system for the secondary circuit of VVER-1200 power units. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
We constantly monitor and improve the equipment at the nuclear power plant. The new devices have an improved design compared to the previous model and are designed to prevent pressure in steam generators and steam lines of the power unit from exceeding the permissible value.
Next, specialists will begin the production of eight impulse safety devices. The installation of the devices is scheduled for power unit No. 6 of the Leningrad NPP in 2026.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rosatom completed the concreting of the foundations of the main buildings of the seventh unit of the Leningrad NPP.
