"Uralvagonzavod" continues to maintain high production rates of T-90M tanks of the 2023 model. The combat vehicles received equipment of the aft armor plates of the hulls in the area of the engine compartment with advanced elements of 4S23 DZ "Relikt", as well as anti-cumulative-anti-drone screens with zigzag modules of spaced armor for defocusing the cumulative jet, providing protection against dropped warheads of cumulative PG-7VL grenades.
At the same time, the engineers decided to abandon equipping the 2A46M-5 guns and the Kalina digital fire control systems of the T-90M tanks with barrel bending accounting devices (UUIS) UUI-1.
Equipped with an optoelectronic receiving-emitting module on the gun mantlet and a reflecting mirror on the muzzle of the gun, the UUI-1 provided measurement of the degree of deformation of the gun and barrel bore under the influence of high-temperature powder gases during firing. Then, corrections were loaded into the ballistic computer, eliminating the reduction in firing accuracy and precision both from a stationary position and in motion.
This device is of key importance in a full-fledged high-intensity tank battle at a distance of 3500 m with machines such as the Leopard-2A6, or M1A1SA, which during exercises demonstrated the defeat of 5 out of 5 targets of a conditional enemy at distances up to 2000 m and achieved defeat with the very first shots with DM53A and M829A3 kinetic projectiles.
Apparently, the experts considered the further placement of these systems impractical, betting on the possibility of using Tula Invar-M ATGMs from 2A46M-5 guns, which do not need UUIS.
