The Su-30SM2 multirole fighters in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces are capable of successfully combating both British Storm Shadow and American JASSM missiles.
The key advantage of these machines is the equipment with advanced N035 Irbis-E airborne radar systems, according to military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
They are capable of detecting targets with an RCS of 0.07 m² at a distance of 130-145 km. Therefore, the latest N035 radar and OLS-35 optoelectronic sighting systems will be able to easily detect and lock onto precise auto-tracking of British low-observable Storm Shadow tactical missiles and American JASSM.
The Su-30SM2 is the latest modification of the Su-30SM fighter. The aircraft received new AL-41F-1S engines from the Su-35S, the N035 Irbis radar, and "smart" weapons.
