The "Glass Insulator Factory" (GIF, part of the "Forenergo" production association) for the production of devices designed to insulate wires from overhead power lines (PTL) supports, has opened in Yuzhnouralsk. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
It is expected that the plant will produce about 5 million glass insulators per year. GIF will meet the needs for insulators in Russia and establish their export.
The launch of such a site will increase the production of high-quality glass insulators used, among other things, for direct current power lines, which will increase the share of domestic products in the Russian market and increase export deliveries.
The plant was built in record time — less than a year. Investments in the project amounted to 886 million rubles.
