The transfer of the heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser of project 11442M "Admiral Nakhimov" to the Russian Navy will take place within the time frame established by the contract concluded with the Ministry of Defense. This was stated by the head of the "Sevmash" enterprise (part of the USC) Mikhail Budnichenko.
The work is being carried out in accordance with the general schedule. The ship will be transferred to the Navy within the time frame specified in the contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
According to him, new innovative and technological solutions were introduced in the process of modernizing the "Admiral Nakhimov". There was constant interaction between the Navy command and "Sevmash" and USC on all issues.
Budnichenko noted that the modernization and repair of such a large displacement cruiser as the "Admiral Nakhimov" is a category of increased complexity. In total, over two thousand people were involved in the work on the ship, as well as dozens of contractors.
