It has become known that in 2025, Cuba may launch not only the production of UAZ Patriot and UAZ Pickup trucks. A modified UAZ Profi Polutorka truck was spotted on the island by the Telegram channel "Trucks and in General."
The car in the photo has a Cuban-type superstructure — such "Profi Polutorka" vehicles are not assembled or offered to customers in Russia.
Plans by the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant to open an assembly plant for its cars in Cuba in February 2025 were recently reported to Izvestia by a source at the enterprise. According to the source, the first batch of assembly equipment has already been moved to the workshop, and its installation and delivery of the first assembly kits are planned for January 2025. The first orders for cars that will begin to be assembled in the Republic of Cuba have already been received.
Earlier it became known that a new sales market was found in Cuba for Russian Moskvich cars. Cuban taxi drivers will soon be transferred to these cars. The pilot batch will be 50 cars.
