RCC "Progress" conducted tests of the correction system for the spacecraft "Aist-2T". Such works were successfully carried out using a new technology for the enterprise.
RCC specialists recreated the conditions of space flight, as close as possible to the working conditions for the engine in orbit.
During the firing, the engine showed its full operability and passed the test in all planned modes without any remarks. Successful tests were the result of the hard work of the RCC "Progress" divisions in tandem with the engine developer and the developer of the engine conversion and control equipment for the MKA "Aist-2T" correction system.
For this type of testing, the old equipment was modernized and new equipment was developed in Samara, and a methodology was created for analyzing the test results.
What is "Aist-2T"?
"Aist-2T" is a group of Russian remote sensing spacecraft developed by Samara University named after Korolev as part of the state program "Information Infrastructure" of the national project "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation".
The main task of the satellites is to form a stereoscopic three-dimensional model of the Earth. It will be useful for solving the current tasks of the Roscosmos State Corporation and the Ministry of Defense of Russia, as well as the future tasks of Roskartografiya and Rosreestr.
The satellites are designed to fly in sun-synchronous orbits in the altitude range of 350-500 km and with an active lifetime of at least five years.
