The "Heritage" restoration workshop has transformed the modern 2025 LADA Niva Sport into a visual copy of the first production Niva of the 1977 model, while retaining all the latest technical components. This was announced in his Telegram channel by journalist Sergei Znaemsky.
The car, whose creators use the term "retro-mod", has an up-to-date 16-valve engine under the hood and an unchanged chassis, which allows it to be used on the roads without any maintenance problems.
To achieve complete external resemblance to the original, the body has undergone significant changes. Old lights, a classic "short" tailgate, a radiator grille, bumpers and chrome window trim have been installed. All modern elements have been removed from the car: roof rails, antenna and plastic arch extensions. Special attention is drawn to the forged aluminum wheels, made to individual order in the design of the original Soviet wheels.
Currently, work on the project is ongoing - the workshop specialists are recreating the historical appearance of the interior.
