«Яндекс» запустит автономные грузовики на трассах М-11 и М-12 в 2025 году

Yandex's self-driving trucks are based on the Shacman platform

The company "Yandex" plans to launch autonomous trucks based on the Shacman X6000 platform on the M-11 and M-12 highways in 2025. These self-driving vehicles are designed for transporting dry cargo, and at the end of 2025, the company also plans to start transporting refrigerated goods.

In October 2024, Yandex's autonomous truck already made its first delivery for "Yandex Market" from Moscow to Tula on the M-4 "Don" highway. The company states that autonomous transport will help solve the problem of driver shortages, increase the efficiency of cargo transportation, and ensure greater safety on the roads.

Since 2017, "Yandex" has been working on an autonomous driving system, and its cars are currently being tested in places like Innopolis and Sirius. Also, in August 2024, the Russian government included the M-12 and Central Ring Road (TsKAD) highways in an experimental legal regime, which allows for the launch of unmanned cargo transportation.

Unmanned trucks from "Kamaz" and "Sberavtotech" have already started operating on the M-11 "Neva" highway since 2023.
