Algeria has received four brigade sets of the Russian Iskander-E operational-tactical missile system (OTRK). This is an export version of the Iskander-M, which has been adapted to international arms control agreements with a reduced range of up to 280 kilometers. This is according to Army Recognition.
According to Army Recognition, Russia transferred the Iskander-E to Algeria between 2014 and 2017. Each brigade set consists of 51 vehicles, including a self-propelled launcher, a transport-loading vehicle, a command and staff vehicle, an information preparation point, and others.
The Iskander-E complex provides strike accuracy with a circular error probable (CEP) of 5–7 meters, making it a critical asset for neutralizing important targets, including enemy command centers, infrastructure, and air defense systems.
