The new Russian-made heavy dump truck "BAZ-S32A5" was presented at the Comtrans-2024 exhibition in Moscow. It is produced by JSC "Romanov" at the former MAN plant in the Leningrad region.
The Telegram channel "No Limits" notes that the heavy dump truck has a 6x6 wheel arrangement and can handle a road train of up to 110 tons. The cab, frame and axles of the dump truck are produced in Russia and Belarus, with some"Miass automakers" helping with its localization.
The "heart" is a YaMZ-653.1 engine with a power of 367 hp and a torque of 1800 Nm. It allows the dump truck to travel at a speed of 70 km/h even on very bad roads.
The vehicle type approval for the "BAZ-S32A5" will be received in May 2025. The base cost of the heavy dump truck starts at 20 million rubles, and it will not be affordable for all interested parties.
Therefore, the company is in the process of signing an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade on compensation for the purchase of the "BAZ-S32A5" - this is how they hope to reduce the price and not remain at a loss.
