Новейший истребитель Су-57 впервые оснастили турбореактивным форсажным двигателем АЛ-51Ф1

Outstanding dry weight to thrust ratio

The latest Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter was equipped with the latest AL-51F1 turbojet dual-circuit afterburning engine for the first time.

This is a power unit with a flat nozzle oriented at an angle of about 45 degrees with a thrust vector control. It provides the combat vehicle with an increase in flight performance due to an increase in afterburner thrust to 18,000 kgf and thrust in emergency mode to 19-19.5 tons.

The ratio between the dry weight and thrust of this engine in afterburner reaches 0.078, which is an outstanding indicator, said military analyst Evgeny Damantsev.

In addition to a noticeable reduction in the effective reflecting surface, this nozzle configuration will also help reduce the infrared signature of the vehicle in the rear hemisphere. The supersonic cruising speed of the Su-57M with AL-51F1 engines can reach 1.95 - 2.1M.

Earlier www1 reported that Russia built the Tushil missile frigate for India with Kalibr, Onyx, and BrahMos.
