The Ministry of Defense has shown footage of combat duty and the use of the multi-band ground-based electronic warfare complex Krasukha-S4.
The passive radio-technical reconnaissance module of the complex detects radiation from the onboard radars of fighter-bombers, or the M-101 "Shtyk" side-looking radar of the Ukrainian Su-24MR and the Orion-A radar of the Su-24M bomber.
After that, the radio-technical situation monitoring operator models a jamming mode corresponding to the radar parameters and activates the emission of a targeted frequency and spectrum response noise or barrage jamming.
Krasukha-S4 is capable of partially suppressing the receiving paths of the American AN/ZPY-2 side-looking radars of the RQ-4B Global Hawk strategic radar reconnaissance UAV, APY-7 AESA radars of E-8C JSTARS aircraft, as well as a wide range of tactical aviation onboard radars.
Operators of the Krasukha-S4 complexes will have to test a wide range of jamming modes with different amplitude-frequency parameters on the AN/APG-66(V)2, as well as RDY-2 radars of F-16AM and Mirage-2000-5F fighters.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an expert found a radical solution to the problem of the shortage of AWACS aircraft for the Russian Aerospace Forces, he proposed reviving the Yak-44.
