The Ruselectronics holding is launching a pilot project to organize the production of hybrid GLONASS trackers. They will be produced by the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant, which is part of the Ruselectronics holding within the Avtomatika concern. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the XVIII International Forum "Transport of Russia."
The joint project with JSC "KEMZ" is a logical continuation of the development of our line of navigation and communication solutions, ensuring the technological sovereignty of Russia. The hybrid tracker we presented will help drivers and passengers of vehicles whose route lies on roads where there is no cellular network coverage. This is a critical issue for people's safety. The commercial demand for such trackers is formed by the civil unmanned aviation industry being created in the country, as well as cargo logistics.
The hybrid GLONASS tracker will automatically switch between cellular and satellite communication channels, ensuring constant monitoring of transport and guaranteed transmission of emergency messages throughout Russia. Its unique feature is the presence of omnidirectional ultra-small antennas that do not require precise aiming at satellites and allow it to work in motion and in real time.
The implementation of the pilot production project is scheduled for the first half of 2025. It will allow a quick transition from a prototype hybrid tracker to its serial production.
