In 2025, a new 136-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine will begin to be installed on UAZ Patriot vehicles and commercial Profi trucks.
The automotive publication "Za Rulem" reported that the new two-liter diesel engine will be more powerful than the similar engine already used in the Sollers Argo model (130 horsepower).
Production of this diesel engine has already been established in Russia. It includes not only assembly, but also the casting of cylinder heads from domestic aluminum, as well as the machining of key components.
Earlier, UAZ received a patent for a steering wheel design for the updated version of the Patriot SUV. The steering wheel has become smaller in size, and its lower part has acquired a more compact appearance. In those places where the driver holds the steering wheel, thickenings appeared, and an airbag was also installed.
As a reminder, the new UAZ Patriot will be presented in the fourth quarter of 2025. The car will receive a powerful diesel engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.
