Эксперт призвал поставить на советские «зушки» Зу-23 оптику воздушного пространства и отправить на борьбу с дронами

A special computer will also help to effectively counter "birds"

Modernizing the Soviet ZU-23 anti-aircraft installations already in the troops can help in the fight against drone attacks. This opinion was expressed to TASS by military analyst Igor Korotchenko.

He pointed out that anti-aircraft guns can be modernized and adapted to combat small-sized air attack weapons.

The peculiarity of the modernization lies in the fact that an optoelectronic airspace control system and a special computer are installed on the old ZU-23 anti-aircraft installations.

According to him, before the shot, the projectile is programmed in such a way that the detonation is carried out at the most optimal pre-calculated point for destruction by a fragmentation field.

Thus, we minimize the consumption of anti-aircraft guided missiles, air defense systems, which are quite expensive.
