Sales of Lada cars in the United Arab Emirates have not yet started, but preparations are already underway. The timing of the start of sales depends on partners, AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov said on the sidelines of the Transport of Russia forum-exhibition, TASS reports.
Sales have not yet started in the UAE, but preparations are already underway. There are two distributors there: one sells to neighboring countries, Africa, and the other will sell directly in Dubai.
Earlier, Sokolov reported that AvtoVAZ expects to complete the certification process for Lada cars for the UAE market by the end of this year.
As a reminder, the official website of the Lada representative office has started operating in the United Arab Emirates. According to the published information, the website will feature the entire range of the brand's products: both Niva models, all versions of Vesta, as well as cars of the Granta and Largus families.
AvtoVAZ is also considering the possibility of starting sales of Lada Iskra cars in the UAE. However, the final decision remains with the partners.
