Russian S-80 Agro-Drone to Transport Cargo

The S-80 is currently used for plant treatment, but it can also deliver cargo up to 20 kg within a 15 km radius.

At the "PRO Technologies" Samara Engineering Forum in Tolyatti, the company "Transport of the Future" presented its S-80 agro-drone. This is the first civilian drone in Russia to receive a type certificate from Rosaviatsiya, and the first to enter mass production in December 2023.

The S-80 is used for targeted application of plant protection products, has a payload of 40 kg, and is capable of processing up to 18 hectares of land per hour. However, its creators plan to use the drone in another promising area.

We see it as a universal platform and are testing it in another area — delivery. The S-80 can deliver cargo up to 20 kg within a 15 km radius. Production capacity allows us to produce 40 units per month at the Tolyatti site, that is, two per day. Localization for this product exceeds 50%, with a target of 80% by the end of the year.

Earlier in November, Russia conducted the first experiment on cargo transportation by drones within city limits. Flights of two different types of drones were successfully carried out in Nizhny Novgorod and Samara.
