Drone-based cargo air transportation is being tested for the first time in major Russian cities: Nizhny Novgorod and Samara. «BAS» company is engaged in air logistics in Russia. Despite electronic warfare and the complexity of working within the city limits, the operators coped with the task.
Drone operators from «BAS» conducted test flights in both cities along two routes at an altitude of 150-220 meters. The drones had to overcome a distance of 5.5 to 17 kilometers, and they successfully did so.
Two different drone models participated in the testing. It involved the drone delivery «Courier-30» manufactured by Nizhny Novgorod LLC «KleverKopter» and an unmanned helicopter with an electric motor «Alpha E», developed by LLC «GC \"Quiet Wings\"» (part of the «Kalashnikov» concern).
