By the end of 2024, the Russian Navy will be replenished with the small missile ship "Tucha" of Project 22800 "Karakurt". This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The MRK was built at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard (part of the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation). It is currently undergoing state trials in the sea ranges of the Caspian Sea, specialists are checking the operation of the propulsion system, electronic warfare systems, onboard weapons complexes and equipment.
The tests are provided by the ship's crew, the plant's delivery team and the headquarters of the Caspian Flotilla.
Small missile ships of Project 22800 are multi-purpose missile and artillery ships of small displacement of the near sea zone of the Russian Navy. They are armed with a universal ship firing complex 3S14 (UKSK) for "Caliber-NK" missiles, as well as the Pantsir-ME anti-aircraft missile and gun system.
