The list now includes over 40 models from 14 car brands

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has once again updated the list of vehicles recommended for use by state and municipal employees at work. The list now includes new car models: Lada Aura from AvtoVAZ and XCite X-Cross 8 from a St. Petersburg manufacturer.

The list of priority vehicles for purchase by government employees includes 14 brands and more than 40 models. These include "Moskvich" models 3, 3e, and 6, Aurus models Senat and Komendant, Lada cars: Vesta, Vesta SW Cross, Granta, Niva Legend, Niva Travel, Largus, and Aura.

Also suitable for Russian officials are UAZ, GAZ, Sollers, Citroen, SWM, BAIC, "AmberAuto", Kaiyi XCite, Haval, Evolute cars.

The current list includes vehicles equipped exclusively with a Russian VIN number, which were produced in Russia as part of fulfilling obligations to localize products in accordance with the terms of special investment agreements.

As a reminder, Russian ministries and departments continue to update their vehicle fleet. However, instead of Japanese, Korean, and European cars that have left the Russian market, they have to settle for vehicles from China, some of which are produced in Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea that a Russian official should drive a Russian car.

However, not everyone is happy with the changes. Earlier, www1.ru reported that some civil servants are "ashamed" to switch to the domestic flagship car Lada Aura.
