Tupolev PJSC is developing a project for a promising long-range aviation complex (PAK DA). It will receive the most advanced defense system, which will protect the aircraft from all types of weapons.
Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that the PAK DA is designed according to the "flying wing" scheme, and will be armed with advanced hypersonic and cruise missiles.
The aircraft will be able to launch missile strikes against aerial targets, control a group of UAVs, and operate in drone mode. According to him, the main feature of the PAK DA is the use of stealth technology and hypersonic speed.
In particular, the RCS of the newest missile carrier will not exceed 0.07 - 0.1 m², due to which the vehicle will be able to reach the launch lines of Kh-101, Kh-50 cruise missiles and, possibly, Zircon against the enemy's rear targets, without entering the detection zone of the AN/APG-81 airborne radars of the F-35A/B/C multirole fighters and AN/APY-2.
The aircraft will also be capable of carrying high-precision aerial bombs, hypersonic weapons, and is equipped with the latest electronic warfare and communication equipment. The vehicle will have a subsonic flight speed.
