Expert suggests increasing the range of the latest Kh-58UShKE missile for the Su-57 fighter to 330 km

Damantsev: equipping the missile with an inertial-navigation unit will increase its radius

The Kh-58UShKE near-hypersonic anti-radar missiles with folding wings and aerodynamic control surfaces for the Su-57 and Su-75 multirole fighters can significantly increase their range, which is 245 km in the basic version. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

According to him, equipping the missile with a multi-mode advanced inertial-navigation unit will allow the product to be used as a compact aeroballistic missile with a range of 310 - 330 km at a maximum speed of 4.7 - 5M.

The inertial-navigation unit with GLONASS-correction will provide the missile with a CEP of no more than 15 - 7 m, while the active active-passive radar seeker with an additional millimeter active channel will ensure the capture of radio-contrast ground targets.
Evgeny Damantsev, military expert

He recalled that the fairing of the passive radar seeker for the Kh-58U is made of heat-resistant composite material, and the body is made of titanium alloy.
