Of course, flying even to the Far East is unpleasant - after all, 8 or 9 hours in flight is a long time. Therefore, I think this is the near future, and we will also see it.
In addition, Konstantin Timofeev, Director of Tupolev JSC, said that after the restoration, the aircraft could be used as a flying laboratory.
One of these machines is at our base in Zhukovsky, and in fairly good condition. Restoring its airworthiness could be the first step towards reviving supersonic air travel in our country.
Now the main task of the manufacturer is the serial production of Tu-214 aircraft. The use of the aircraft as a laboratory will have a significant impact on the development of civil aviation in Russia.
