A multi-purpose tracked all-terrain vehicle "Plastun-2" has been developed for the Russian military. This vehicle is similar to the existing "Plastun", but has higher characteristics. The all-terrain vehicle differs from its predecessor in greater length and different layout, which significantly improved cargo characteristics.
«Plastun-2» is built in a body made of aluminum alloy. It is assembled from a set of straight panels. In the future, it may be possible to develop an armored version, but for now we are only talking about a light vehicle without protection.
The total weight of the all-terrain vehicle is 5 tons, the maximum speed is 60 km/h. It is able to confidently overcome water obstacles by rewinding the tracks. "Plastun-2" received a foreign diesel engine with 115 hp.
The vehicle can be used in the Armed Forces as a transport for personnel, and if necessary, machine-gun armament can be placed on it.
In addition, the all-terrain vehicle can become a carrier of various loads, such as optoelectronic and radio systems, as well as portable missile systems.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that the Russian Navy will receive the first combat icebreaker "Ivan Papanin" with Kalibr and Uran missiles in the summer of 2025. The ship was built at the Admiralty Shipyards.
