LADA Niva Travel received a new engine, which was previously installed on LADA Granta, insiders said.
Earlier it was reported that the new engine would be installed on the Niva Legend model, but the information was incorrect. In fact, updated Niva Travel prototypes were assembled with a 90-horsepower engine borrowed from Granta.
Despite the fact that the engine can only be called new conditionally, since it is visually identical to the engine from Granta, its characteristics and possible changes in parameters remain classified. Project researchers were only able to briefly inspect the new unit, but did not disclose more detailed information.
In addition to the updated engine, insiders report the return of the old steering wheel on the Niva Travel. A photo is provided as proof, but the reason for this decision is not explained. One possible reason may be a shortage of new steering wheels in production.
